  • UTSA was clearly the superior team here by a wide margin. The penalties killed them all game long. It is something that needs to be addressed during the bye week because it will not fly against a team like Southern Miss. At the end of the day a win is a win, but it was not UTSA's best or prettiest performance.

  • The defense continues to impress in 2017. If it was not for the penalties I doubt Texas State would had scored this many points. Marcus Davenport, Eric Banks, Kevin Strong, Josiah Tauaefa are just some of the names that had spectacular evenings. They have played teams with pretty awful offenses, but it is still impressive to see them dominate. Their first real test is against Southern Miss in a few weeks.

  • This is exactly how the UTSA offense is supposed to look like. Run heavy with pass plays sprinkled in between. Jalen Rhodes has a new career high after tonight. Tyrell Clay played a really solid game. B.J. Daniels got some run towards the end of the game, Brett Winnegan broke off for a 71-yard TD run. Overall a solid performance by the offense with some mistakes that will get looked at during the bye week.
Your UTSA Roadrunners are 3-0 for the first time since 2012.
