I got the chance to talk with Andrew Henry, the 5’10” 180 pound 3 star RB out of Allen, about his recruitment. Andrew told me that he’s mainly been hearing from schools like Uconn, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Cal, UTSA and Houston. When I asked about how he’s been enjoying his recruitment, he told me “the recruiting process it’s a blessing always and I thank God for even letting me play football. I have to put my head down and grind.”

Henry also told me that the coach from UTSA that he hears from the most is Coach Sands. I continued on by asking about his opinions of Coach Frank Wilson, and Andrew told me “Coach Wilson and I haven’t spoken that much, but he’s a great man and I’m looking forward to creating a good relationship.” It’s really good to hear that Andrew wants to continue creating a stronger relationship with Coach Wilson. Andrew talked about UTSA saying “UTSA is a great option for me as a student and an athlete. I will visit on the 24th of February, so that will be fun to get a better understanding of everything.” Andrew tweeted yesterday morning, confirming that he will be in San Antonio for UTSA’s junior day. Let’s hope that Coach Wilson is able to strengthen this relationship while Henry is on campus. I asked Henry what he looks for in a school, and he told me “I’m looking for a school that will push me as a man and make me a better person beyond football and give me that family place, and somewhere I know that winning every day is the goal.” It’s clear that Andrew is wanting not only a good football program, but a program that will help him further down the road in life.

When asked about what really sets him apart compared to other players at his position, Andrew said “I’m a running back that can run routes just as [good as] any wide-receiver, and I can run between the tackles and make people miss.” Andrew truly is an all-purpose running back.
