Lincoln Christian [OK] athlete Reed Martin was paid a visit by UTSA defensive backs coach Patrick Toney today. I had a chance to speak with briefly this evening.
Martin was offered by UTSA 4/12/16 and has planned his official visit for January 27th. He has not had chance to visit UTSA and has not visited San Antonio in the past. Martin took a visit to Air Force this past weekend and does not have any other visits planned as of today.
I asked him what he was looking for in the program he signs with in a couple weeks.
"Good education and dedication of coaches to the players. Basically showing they care about the players."
I also asked about coach Patrick Toney.
"He's awesome. He's done a great job recruiting I'd love to play for him."
Lastly, I asked Martin what he believes he would bring in to any program.
"I would describe myself as that I'm going to work harder than any other person and do anything and everything to help the program."
Unless he takes some other visits there is a good chance Martin ends up at UTSA. He is listed a running back, but there is a chance he plays safety for UTSA depending on how the recruiting numbers end up.
