I recently caught up with three-star defensive back Tay’lor Perry about his visit to UTSA. Perry, a speedster with a knack for the ball, came to campus on an official visit January 13th. The 5-foot-10 corner from Crosby left campus feeling fantastic about his future home, telling me “the visit went great,” seemingly very solid in his pledge to the Roadrunners.
In his opinion, the best part of UTSA and his visit in general, was the city of San Antonio itself. Perry enjoyed every aspect from the food to the weather. When asked if anything stood out to him, he told me “just the vibe of everything about UTSA.” Specifically, he loved the atmosphere of the campusand the people there. Perry also noted that the other recruits and commits that were visitingwere “all down to Earth people” that“[were] really cool” and that they “all got along really well.”
The three-star corner thinks very highly of the entire UTSA coaching staff, especially Coach Wilson, describing them as “family.” As far as Perry’s takeaways from the staff, he said the main message they left him with was that “they really stressed that grades come first.” Perry reports back to UTSA on June 3rd. He’s “looking forward to the season starting” and is excited to get back in pads and make a difference.
