Over the weekend, I chatted with 2-star CB Christian Cain. We discussed what made him commit to UTSA and more.
"UTSA has always communicated with me even when nobody else did. That made me feel like they really wanted me," the 6-foot-1, 175-pound corner responded when asked why he chose to commit to the Roadrunners.
Asked who on the staff he interacted with most throughout the recruiting process, the two-star prospect replied, "Coach Golding," noting that "he's a really good person and I like him as a coach."
Like so many others, Cain believes the UTSA football "program is headed to the top." A big part of that belief is due Roadrunners Head Coach Frank Wilson. The 2-star prospect raved about the man in charge, saying, "Coach Wilson is the type of coach that will not only make you better as a player but also better as a person."
As for what Cain will bring to the table as a player, he believes it will be his relentless nature on and off the field: "I'm a go getter when it comes to tackling and attacking the ball. I will bring energy to the program."
Additionally, the two-star told me he will continue to go on visits throughout the season.
