IRVING — Conference USA announced the remainder of its 2017 football broadcast schedule on Wednesday and two additional UTSA games will be be shown over the airwaves this fall.
The Roadrunners' Sept. 2 season opener against Houston has been set for a 6 p.m. start at the Alamodome and their Nov. 4 road tilt at FIU will kick off at 6 p.m. (CT). Both games will be broadcast on Stadium (formerly American Sports Network & Campus Insiders).
Stadium, which will launch later this summer, is a fully-programmed, 24/7 multi-platform sports network that brings together exclusive live game and event coverage, extensive highlights, classic games, original programming and daily live studio programming. It includes a 24/7 linear feed distributed across both digital and broadcast platforms, as well as a comprehensive array of on-demand content, including additional live events and video on demand highlights accessible via owned and operated Stadium platforms and select distribution partners.
Stadium was formed when the American Sports Network, Campus Insiders and 120 Sports combined forces to take advantage of a combined collection of professional and collegiate rights and unique access to both digital and television distribution opportunities.
UTSA defeated Houston by a score of 27-7 in the last meeting between the two programs back on Aug. 29, 2014, and that evened the all-time series at one game apiece.
Meanwhile, this fall will mark the inaugural meeting between the Roadrunners and Panthers.
Those two contests are in addition to last month's announcements that two other road games will be televised this fall.
The Sept. 9 road opener at Baylor has been scheduled for a 7 p.m. start on FOX Sports Networks, while the Nov. 25 regular season finale at Louisiana Tech will be broadcast on an ESPN network to be announced 12 days prior to the contest (Nov. 13).
Additional C-USA football television exposures will be released as soon as they are finalized throughout the summer months.
Led by second-year head coach Frank Wilson, UTSA is coming off last fall's six-win campaign that saw it play in the first bowl game in program history at the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
