It's crazy that North Texas is likely going to the CUSA championship game. Even if they lose to La Tech this Saturday, La Tech would need to beat both FAU and UTSA in the final weeks to take over their spot. After La Tech, North Texas earns a few body bag games vs Rice and UTEP. Southern Miss, UAB and UTSA are effectively out of the running due to tiebreakers unless UNT inexplicably drops a game to the Miners or the Owls of Rice. Championship game will likely be on CUSA East soil but we could easily see a UNT v FAU rematch.
Does Seth Littrell getting the Mean Greene to the championship game in his 2nd year give him the coaching prowess over Frank Wilson? In my book, yes. Littrell has turned around that team w/ lessor talent than UTSA in the same amount of time. With Fine a sophomore, UNT could be a powerhouse for a few years running. That is depressing.
