What's happening? From what I've seen in person (home games), he has been all I could ever hope for in a QB. He has been accurate, good decision maker (mostly), playmaker and a leader. On the road he has been mostly inept. I can't see what's going on from television, so I ask those who have traveled, what's he doing differently on the road than at home.
Is it purely mental? I want to say maybe he doesn't understand the game well enough to be successful in hostile situations? He has the physical tools, because when I watch him in controlled environments like QB drills, he stands out, and that's been since he first got on campus. Outside of of UTEP, he has not shown the ability to complete crucial passes when the heat is on. Does it come back to haunt the team against Charlotte, which btw he was brutal against last year.
I like Dalton, and just like any UTSA QB, I want him to succeed. However, it looks like the pressure is affecting his play. Interested in hearing other opinions.
