Today was the second day of practice at UTSA. After practice the media got to speak with Coach Wilson and Austin Pratt. Here is some of what they said.

- Today was turnover Wednesday for the defense and no turnover Wednesday for the offense. Yesterday the defense had six turnovers which was an exceptional day in our competition Tuesday format. We wanted to be better as a team offensively to secure the ball and we still wanted to get the ball out from a defensive perspective. I was pleased with the defensive effort for trying to punch it out and I was pleased with the offensive effort taking care of it today.
- Finishing was much better today. We finished throughout the duration of practice. The guys looked light on their feet, they moved around well, the energy was high, the effort was high. It was a much better day than a day ago.
- We dedicate a period everyday to ball security and ball stripping. We have a creed here and its all about the ball.
- The Creed: "It's all about the ball. You protect it with your dear life. This ball is the pride and tradition of UTSA football. It will not be entrusted in the hands of the timid or the weak. You've earned the right to carry it, do so with dignity and courage for you are a trained assassin."
- You always want (running) backs to be able to complement each other. We play a physical sport and you'll need able bodies to be able to step in with as little drop off as possible. I think we're establishing the quality depth that we need there.
- Tyrell Clay is consistent. He's steady. He does everything good enough. He doesn't necessarily have a 4.3 40 but everything you ask him to do he does it and he does it well, especially from a passing game perspective. He has a great game awareness.
- Dalton is practicing very well. He's leading the team. Manny Harris had a pretty good day today. He threw out some really good balls. I was pleased to see that. I was glad to see him compete today. That's what this is about. If you want it go and take it, put yourself in position to claim playing time.
