Has quietly become a monster recruiter. Finished last class with Dywan (won head to head over LaTech and Memphis), Jahmal Sam, and Ronnie Jackson. Throw in Burrle, Starks and Quad and he's on an absolute tear for us. I figured he'd be a solid recruiter, but to go into Louisiana and do the damage he's done so quickly is really impressive.
Now when it comes to the more important part of his job, I think he's still a a work in progress when it comes to coaching. He dealt with a ton of injuries at CB last season and still put a competitive product on the field ever week, but I might need to take some points away for how unprepared Corey Mayfield looked. Big season for Deron as he has some legit pieces to work with. I think he's gonna prove to be an elite CFB position coach pretty soon.
