Northlake Christian [LA] defensive tackle and Tulane commit Caleb Sampson still has his eye on UTSA although he is currently committed to Tulane. He is still in contact with defensive line coach Eric Henderson. Sampson tells me he talks with coach Henderson at least two times a week.
Although he's committed to Tulane UTSA is still an option for him. It has been hard for him to take a trip to San Antonio and really take a in depth look at UTSA, "It just been hard for me to get there, but I'm still interested in UTSA." Sampson feels like he needs to take an official visit before he can really evaluate UTSA. If he and Coach Henderson can work out a visit date I feel like UTSA has a legitimate chance to flip him.
"Coach Henderson is a great dude I have much respect for him. He has been honest with me through this process."
I asked Sampson what he is looking for in the program he signs with in February.
"Family! Also great academics and a great football team."
They key for UTSA and Sampson will be that official visit.
