I had the opportunity to catch up with Lance Legendre, the 6’3” 205 pound 3 star QB from Warren Easton in Louisiana. Lance told me that he has been enjoying the process so far, and when I asked him about which schools he’s been hearing from the most, he told me he’s been hearing from Alabama, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Kentucky and Indiana.

Legendre also continued by telling me that he hasn’t really been hearing from the UTSA coaches yet, he was informed by his coaches that he had received an offer from UTSA. When I asked him for his opinions of Coach Frank Wilson, he told me “I’m sure he’s a great [coach], and I’ll meet him soon.” When asked about what he looks for in a school, Lance said “The school has to have what I’m going to major in.” He said that “being comfortable” is important to him when it comes to what he looks for in a school.

When I asked him if he would be attending UTSA’s junior day, he said that he would have to talk to some of his coaches before making a decision. It does seem as if he would like to be at UTSA’s junior day, so let’s hope that he’s able to make his way to San Antonio. Lance was kind enough to share his top 6 with me, and his top 6 consists of Kentucky, Tennessee, Kansas, UTSA, Oklahoma State and Tulane (no order). It’s really good to see UTSA in the running for a player of Lance’s caliber. I continued by asking him what really sets him apart from other players at his position, and he stated “What sets me apart from others is probably getting away from defenders 90% of the time.” Legendre is listed as a dual-threat QB and is very capable of extending plays and making plays with his legs as well as his arm.
