After talking to a few sources there are some facility improvements coming to the PE Building in the coming months. If you are not familiar with the building I am talking about it is the one directly behind the Convocation Center.
This is seen as a long term temporary fix to the facilities issue that has hindered the football program since its inception. Long story short the PE Building will get a significant amount of upgrades. Some of the upgrades include:
Upgrading Frank Wilson’s office.
Another round of upgrades to the weight room (includes new equipment).
More upgrades to the locker room.
Front entrance to the PE Building will be redone.
A new team meeting room will be built.
Lastly, the PE Building will be renamed that is TBD.
This will come at a pretty significant cost that signals the football team moving to Park West may be on the backburner for a few more years.
