GoUTSA: Football Adds Opponents to Future Non-Conference Schedule
UTSA football announced Monday a slate of additions to its future non-conference schedule, highlighted by home tilts versus Division II Tarleton State, Division III Sul Ross State, and an away game at Division I FBS Liberty University. "This is a strategic pivot to a certain caliber of opponent allowing us to position our team for success," explained Head Football Coach Frank Wilson. "Due to our recent trajectory of achievement, we felt we needed to move in this direction. Also, Liberty will pay us money," he said.
Further additions to the schedule include Brandeis HS, Rackspace (TX) and NuStar (TX) corporate club football, UTSA's own intramural program, San Antonio FC, and finally UT Arlington, who do not currently field a football team.
