On the eve before NSD @jaredcole caught up with Kevin Davis:
Angleton (TX) offensive tackle, Kevin Davis, was in San Antonio this past weekend for an official visit. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound mauler chatted with me about his time on campus, and about what made him commit to the Roadrunners.
“My visit was great. Everything that I wanted to see—I got to see!” Davis continued on to tell me that his favorite part of the visit was seeing the dorms where he would be staying. As for what could have gone better on the visit, “nothing,” Davis replied.
“The other recruits were really cool. We’ve already bonded,” Davis said, adding that he can’t wait to play with those guys.
When asked what made him pull the trigger, Davis responded, “The environment. It was unbelievable.” The powerful tackle noted that the coaching staff was fantastic as well. The main message the staff pitched to Davis was “that this class is something special and so [is he], so why not be a part of something special?” Additionally, Davis could not have spoken any more highly of Coach Wilson: “I love Coach Wilson. He’s a great coach and I can’t wait to play for him!”
Davis arrives in San Antonio on June 6th. The big man is “looking forward to coming in and doing his part to help the UTSA program win games and become something special.”
