Q: What is the difference in this year's team than previous years?
A:Depth and Maturity, Southern Miss is finally up to the full 85 scholarships and young guys who were forced to play too early have now grown up.

Q: How would you grade Nick Mullens so far?
A: I would give Mullens a solid A, he's completing a career high on pass percentage and is on pace to have one of the best seasons in Southern Miss history.

Q: What are the strengths on offense?
A: Southern Miss has been really good at putting the opposition in a run-pass conflict. Their offensive balance has allowed them to do this pretty well for most of the season.

Q: What are the defensive strengths?
A: Southern Miss' strength is on the defensive line which is as healthy this week as it has been since week two of the season. The entire DL features Kansas transfer Anthony Bolton and Oklahoma transfer Quincy Russell to go along with home grown talent Draper Riley, Rod Crayton and Michael Smith.

Q: What about the problems on defense?
A: Southern Miss has at times been susceptible to giving up the big play, they've cut down on that in recent weeks, but it's still a concern.
