Wanted to share a few things about the meet and great.
It was a ok turn out. 530 and middle of the week is not a good time to host a event. They had tons of beer aka (flavored water) and a snack table. It was like the initial signing day events with out the break down of players.
Coach Wilson can talk. This guy is a great motivator as we have already seen. I did not got to talk to him to long because of course there is always a line of people wanting to talk to him. He said he is ready to get all the meet and greats over and get to work. He is definitely wants to get to coaching and working with the kids.
All the coaches are pretty cool and easy to talk to. One really stood out to me.
Coach Scelfo was awesome. I got to talk to him for about 20 minutes. He is the cut up of the group. Funny , talks with his hands and will give you shoulder jabs. The type of guy to get everyone's attention at a tailgate. He even asked about the tailgates and type of food and beverage we had at tailgates. He said he would have to come by and share in the refreshments before the game.
I asked him about our offense. Scelfo said he has only watched some film. He said he really want's to work with the kids and see what they can all do before they decide on a scheme . He said not only are they going to find their strengths but build them up. So we may not even know till 1st game. He also kept saying we will not dink and dunk. We will pound the ball down the field and go deep.
Talking to all the coaches left me with a lot of confidence. I am very excited to see what these guys can do.
