Quarterck - This may be a battle for second string. It's a big moment for Dalton Sturm. An impressive day gives him momentum this summer when Jared Johnson arrives. A stagnant performance opens the door even wider for Johnson.

Tight end: No one on the roster is David Morgan. Someone needs to replace the production, however. Shaq Williams is the leading candidate. This staff wants to use tight ends.

Offensive line: We all know about this position. The interior of the line is in good hands and has depth. The tackle positions are huge question marks.

Lineback: UTSA will play mostly 4-2-5 because that's what's on the roster. A Mike linebacker needs to emerge. Like at quarterback, the answer might be in a transfer, namely Ronnie Feist.

Cornerback: Bennett Okotcha and Trevor Baker are gone. It's time to see if the young corners recruited out of high school are ready to be FBS starters. The UTSA WRs core is a strong test.
