The postponement of the Houston game did not mean the Roadrunners stopped working. There was practice on Wednesday and Coach Wilson did speak with media after. Here is what he had to say on several subjects.

- It was a good day of practice today. We really challenged our team to have some maturity about themselves and to be able to transition, as we like to say don't flinch and adapt to the next task at hand.
- The task at hand today was improving ourselves, putting everything in its proper prospective, coming out and practicing well, being crisp and getting better today. The weather was fantastic the guys hopped around. The enthusiasm was there. I was proud of our team.
- You never know if the enthusiasm will be there (after the news of yesterday came out). You present it to them and your hopeful that the things you are saying to them resonates and that they are mature enough to handle it but you just never know, there is a lot of hope and anticipation for playing a game and then to delay it yet another week you worry about it but our guys were champs. They handled it with class. They understand what's going on. It was good to see that.
- Disappointment won't be the theme. Not at a time like this. We're focused on whats going on in society and understanding what happened and mature enough to recognize it but still take care of our business as well.
- The reality is even from within we have guys on our team effected by it. We'll take Friday and Saturday for our players to lick their wounds, to be there and be helping hands for their loved ones and their families as well because they haven't seen their homes either. We're conscientious of that and we're supportive of everyone that's effected by it.
- We will practice tomorrow. It will be our normal thursday practice, we call it thriving thursday because we thrive on Thursday. Today was no turnover Wednesday. We put an emphasis on that. We have some general things that we're taking care of with our upcoming opponent. Certainly in 24 hours we don't have a gameplan yet but we have overview. Of course we did our study (of Baylor) over the summer and then again last night so we have a general idea of some of the things they're going to want to do. We have more than enough to prepare for a practice day.
- Don't know any more today than yesterday about rescheduling the Houston game.
- Our guys will be observant of the Baylor game this week because they're not involved in one. Its a Saturday where usually we're playing a game but this time we won't be playing a game and so we'll watch attentively.
- Haven't talked to Major Applewhite today.
