- Focus today was base down and distance. It is always a day of a lot because you get so much from opponents. This defense that we're about to face has so much variation. It's an array of things that we'll have to prepare for against a big team in stature.
- FIU was more base foundational stuff. You knew where they were going to be. UAB's defense is a little different because they do so many things with them. It's hard to emulate because they are so big in size.
- We are disappointed with the outcome last week. We didn't do the things necessary. It's a tremendous challenge in front of us. UAB is a quality football team but I thought today was a very good day for us.
- The thing about this team, even the games we've fallen short in, we've been in position. You take a week ago, as much as you can credit their defense and what we did not do you have to credit our defense for holding one of the most prolific offenses in our conference to 14 points. We're doing a lot of good things. I'm fully confident in our team and they're confident in themselves. We just have to put it all together and make it happen on Saturday.
- It's good to be playing at home this weekend. Hopefully we can get some butts in the seats and come out and support us. We're looking forward to it.
- Have had to deal with some real life events, unfortunate incidents. They test a team. They test your mental fortitude and your ability to respond to them, to overcome from it, to have healthy discussion about everything thats going on. We've had those things before. They appear. That's just life. As we maturate into this thing called manhood, we'll figure it out and we'll get through it.
