It was a busy day at UTSA practice as Coach Wilson and three players, Dalton Sturm, Greg Campbell and Marquez McNair, spoke with the media. Here is what they had to say.

- Good football weather today. It was a little cool, a little windy but it was Roadrunner weather. It was good to get in the elements and throw the ball with the wind and against the wind. To kick it. To gauge it from a kickoff return or punt return aspect, punting.
- We moved around really well. The guys had great energy. Really anticipating the next day. What was important today was to capture today, to win today. We had a very productive day today.
- Defensively North Texas is very stout up front. They do a really good job with their front seven and at the back end they have a junior college transfer that stepped in at a corner and both safeties that are three of the top four tacklers (in the conference). They have the ability to cover in space and so we'll have to create some separation in the passing game and we'll have to try and find a way to block those guys in the run because they support the run (defense) really well.
- I think North Texas will be excited about playing us. It's always been a close game. Seth (Littrell) does a really good job. I know him very well. His team will be well coached. They'll play hard. They are like us in that they are aspiring to take their program to another level. Much respect for the job that team does and that staff does.
- Conference standings are way too far down the line for us to think about. That will play itself out. What we need to worry about is this day and then eventually on Saturday. To be good on that day and whatever conference ramifications will reveal themselves. We can't get there unless we take care of whats important right now.
- To prevent big plays you go back to fundamentals. You have to be able to tackle in space. You have to be able to bend and strike and wrap a guy up. We try to be as redundant as possible in doing the simple things extremely well. We did those things today and put ourselves in position to make those plays in space.
- We enjoy the in-state matchups. Whether its North Texas or Rice or UTEP, Texas State, anytime we can play in the great state of Texas it allows our fans to come out and support us. It allows us to have our family and loved ones there as well. It bodes well because we do most of our recruiting in the state of Texas.
