- It was a good practice. Weather was good. Guys had a lot of energy out there. It was good to see our team continue to develop and take steps forward.
- Last year's UTEP game wasn't a blur. I remember it distinctly. The interesting thing they, as a team, were not at the top of our conference and so people didn't view them as being a competitive game for us. We were on a little roll, had won a couple of games and we respected that team. They came in and had a never say die spirit and played their behinds off against us. They went into five overtimes and took victory away from this team.
- We'd like to go out and play to our very best this week and compete in their home and do the things that are necessary to win this game. Whatever it takes, regulation, one point, 10 points, two, three, four, five overtimes. Whatever it takes.
- Double overtime was the most I'd been in before that game. I'd never been in a five overtime game.
- I remember their tight end who just kept going down the field on us. I had nightmares about that guy. Their quarterback did a great job but their tight end posed a world of problems for us.
- There are some differences between what Sean (Kugler) was doing and what Mike (Price) is doing. The core of who they are and the identity thats built around is still what they want to do.
- Don't know why home team has never won in the series between UTSA and UTEP. I thought that was a folklore when I heard it last year and I thought, it won't happen this year but it came to fruition. Hopefully this year we can keep that trend going.
- Josiah is still being evaluated. He was at meetings. Doing rehab and therapeutic things to get him ready to play if necessary. We're hopeful that he'll be ready to play.
- I think it's universal this time of year that teams are having to rely on their depth. We'll be prepared for it, we'll be fine.
- Marcus Davenport is the same in pre-practice and post practice that he is in practice or the game. He's working on his craft to try to be the best player he can be. The pros and draft will take care of itself. If he's productive here all that will fall into place.
