- Guys looked good today. It was a good practice, a productive practice. Have some guys bouncing back around. Doesn't look like Trevor (Stephens) is going to be with us this week. He's banged up. Good thing is we'll have Andrew King back from the stomach bug that's been going around.
- We have our maintenance crew, our training room, equipment room disinfecting, trying to do all that we can to prevent (illnesses).
- North Texas is a C-USA west opponent, those implications are first and foremost, those implications are legitimate and sincere in regards to us trying to achieve our team goals and that is to be in contention for conference championships and a bowl game as well.
- By being in state I would suppose (UTSA and North Texas) would bump into some of the same players along the recruiting route. To do well and perform well against an in-state adversary is important for us to do well.
- The large turnout by UTSA fans at Rice and UTEP fans here is a good thing. Anytime you can get the following within our conference and the building of rivalries, albeit a short one at this time, we embrace it, we look forward to it. There are several people on our staff who are UTEP grads and vice versa, some of our people work at their university as well. It is great for college atmosphere, for building that rivalry status and the things that make college football what it is.
- Manny and Dalton Sturm either played with or grew up with a couple of guys on this North Texas team so it's fun. It is what you look forward to.
- Didn't know we were the only team in the nation to have six different players complete a pass and have two non-quarterbacks throw touchdown passes.
- For us gadget plays are legitimate, sound plays. You could identify it as a gadget we identify it as an opportunity to take advantage of something that a defense or (special) team's unit is or is not doing. The jump pass touchdown and fake field goals were examples of taking advantage of something we saw in their defense.
- The players like those plays. As a program we make a conscientious decision of things that we've practice and things we've seen on film and we talk about it. There is no element of surprise that we go out (in game) and say lets try this. It has already been practiced, it has already been seen on film.
- Brady Jones is consistent, reliable. He's made himself readily available by mastering all the (receiver) positions. He can play in any one of those positions if he's not the starter in it and the starter goes down. Because he is a student of the game and his attention to detail it elevates his opportunities.
