- It was a really good practice. It's always fun when your able to come out and practice in the elements and let nature take its course and handle slippery balls and yet have the composure and understanding how to deal with the elements. To keep your feet underneath you, to not overstride, to be more compact in the things that you do, to catch it, hold and secure it, to throw it, to kick it. All of those things are good for us that eventually one day we might need if we're playing in an outdoor arena.
- We're all kids at heart, we dive on the ground we splatter the water and just really enjoyed practicing out here.
- Health is good. We're probably healthier now than we have been for some time. We have a young Michael Goff who had been out for quite some time and is now back with the team doing some things. Several guys who had been nicked and were questionable at times are back with us.
- As long as we're taking care of our things on the football field, like today the defense created four turnovers, the offense turned it over once so UTSA won the turnover margin today plus three, thats a good thing for us.
- I thought we converted well on third down situations, we protected well from an offensive line standpoint. Vice versa on defense when we went against (scout team running Southern Miss') offense, our defense was stellar, our defensive line collapsed the pocket and we stopped the run very well.
- This week is the most important game of the year because slates are clean. Our goal of winning a conference championship comes into scope here. The only way you can win the west is to take care of the first one. What's behind us is behind us, whats ahead of us is there but what's current is most important.
