The new staff will have their work cut out trying to get a quarterback signee for 2016. Every member of the staff has hit the recruiting trail hard since being hired. By looking at their twitter activity they seem to be targeting numerous quarterbacks. Here are some at quarterback recruits the staff seems to be after:
QB Tanner Schafer [Canadian]
It seems UTSA is looking to add another state champion QB. Schafer tells me that he thinks WR coach Jeff Kastl and GA Giovanni Vizza will be in to visit him on Monday. Nothing is set, but my guess is that Schafer will visit UTSA for an official at some point before NSD.
QB Clay Roberts [Houston, St. Pius X]
Roberts had contact with UTSA even before the new staff came in. Coach Eric Henderson has been in contact with Roberts. He holds no FBS offers at this point.
