Had a chance to chat with Rummel safety Quinton "Pig" Cage this week. He took his official visit this past weekend and had some great things to say about the new coaching staff.
Cage seems to be high on UTSA's recruiting board as safety mainly because his recruiter is head coach Jeff Traylor. He had some great things to say about him.
"Man, he (Traylor) is amazing. The whole staff is amazing. He’s a realistic guy and keeps everything honest. Always in a great mood and smiling."
I asked Cage about his visit and his hosts this weekend.
"(On his hosts) Jahmal Sams and Sticks Jones two amazing guys. Me and Jahmal have similar physical games and would be great on same defense if I chose there! Visit was amazing was better than I expected."
I asked him about his impression of UTSA after his visit.
"The coaching style and how they are planning on using me. The stadium was amazing, holds 60,000!"
Cage will be a name to watch in the next few weeks. He has a few more visits lined up. Expect him to make a decision before NSD.
