Head coach Frank Wilson and a few players met with the media today. I'll put coach Wilson's highlights below and watch for Whitaker to add quotes from players as the day progresses.

- We had opportunities. Some times we took advantage of it and sometimes we self destructed. We can't commit four turnovers. We didn't see anything that can't be fixable. We just had some mental mistakes we need to correct in film and on the practice field. Really liked the effort from the team.
- Colorado State - Don't be deceived by the score of the Colorado score. Known coach Bobo for years, since time in SEC. They can run the ball. Return 4/5 starters on OL plus running back. QB is accurate. Even in defeat rushed for 150+ yards. They'll want to set the tone with the run and get QB on track. The defense was top 10 last year. Both linebackers, leading tackler and guy who led in sack. We have our work cut out for them. They'll want to rebound against us.
- Haven't watched a lot of film from last Colorado State game since the Rams have a new defensive coordinator.
- Not worried about what happened against Colorado State. Not a great emphasis on reliving last year's game. It'll be used for some film, but that's about it because of all the changes at CSU.
- I like our team. I like our preparation. We think they'll be a really tough opponent, especially with how disappointed they are with Week 1.
- Sunday is our truth day. We recap game. We talk about the good stuff and the things that we can't keep doing. We acknowledge it in film then go out to practice and fix it.
- Jarveon has some swelling. Rehabbing last few days. Nothing more than a sprain. No long term stuff. Take it day-by-day. Haven't tried to run him. Didn't change offense without him.
- We'll pick our opportunities to change tempo. It's about the situation, a feel thing inside the game.
- Marquez McNair is everything we thought he'd be. Need to work on ball security.
- Dalton will start against CSU. "High possibility" that Jared will play. Wouldn't rule out both guys alternating, but if it gives us an advantage or allows us to win a game, we'll do it without hesitation. It won't be a staple for us moving forward.
- Jared had very few opportunities to throw the football. He made the right reads. Jared will be fine. He was overshadowed by how well Dalton played.
- Jalen ran the ball hard. Made the right reads, cuts. Corbin White added depth, as well.
- Tight ends played well. Praised Morgan and asked TE group to step up and do your role. Thought those guys did extremely well. Blocked well and caught well. We'll continue to use them.
- Until we have the stalwart that demands the ball, we'll be able to run our scheme and throw the ball to a bunch of different places. We don't have the dominant WR who demands the ball, so there's no one player to push it to. We'll spread the ball around based on what the defense gives up.
- Wasn't surprised with how well defense played, but want it to stay consistent. Want to start the first half like we played in second half.
- Halen Steward a little nicked up. FB gives us an extra blocker in pass game. We have ample backup there, plus a lot of TE's. Think Halen will be back.
- Concerning to miss two extra points. We corrected it Sunday in practice. Went through each step of the kicking process. We watched it on film and addressed it. He kicked the ball well Sunday after we addressed those things.
- Liked the way the rest of the special teams played. We put a tremendous emphasis on it. One-third of the football game.
- Even in spring, we thought Josiah was outstanding. He was our MVP in the spring. He has an instinct and motor that allows him to be around the ball. He's mentally catching up with his athletic ability. He took advantage of his opportunity.
- Want our week to be as close to a home schedule as possible. Don't want to mix up a ton just because it is a road game.
- Hydrate for elevation.
- Practice is the most important thing. It is a great reflection of what will happen in the game. For us, practicing well is so important. This week is no different.
