- Last game hurt but we have to be able to take something from it. We're hungry. Whenever you play in a game that close, I don't know too many people that have played that many overtimes, thats a game you want to try to win. We feel like that is a game we could have won.
- Was down on myself for dropping the pass (in 4th quarter) but when I got to the sideline I can't count how many players were there telling me keep my head up we know you can make that play. Dalton and coach Scelfo came up to me and said we're going to need you in OT. That was a big thing for me.
- When you go five overtimes, that's a game that everybody's going to remember because I don't know how many times your going to play in that many overtimes.
- I remember having the opportunity to travel with team for special teams stuff at the 2013 game at North Texas. It was an intense game but a special game. It was the type of game that Eric (Soza) loved to be in.
- This week was a very physical game. They had a bye week and were rested up. They knew they had to come out and hit us in the mouth. I think it was really physical on the line. It got kind of chippy, like with the late hit on Dalton. That's the type of football game that's fun, thats how football is supposed to be, its supposed to be physical.
- Eric Sosa being at UTSA played a big part in getting me to come here. I thought it would be cool to have one year playing with him.
- We treat a win and a loss the same way. I know as a player that one really hurts but its something that is going to push you even further in practice. You have to remember what it felt like after that game.
- Was more mentally fatigued than physically after that game. Felt worse not to get the win but that's what Sunday was for, correcting mistakes and getting the energy back.
- You have to have that person in the huddle that's always there for you. Dalton is that person who's always confident in the huddle. I think being a walk on is an extra chip on his shoulder that adds to his confidence.
- Played against Dalton in high school. All the years I was at George West, Goliad never beat us, He finally won the year after I left when he was a senior. I even intercepted one of his passes when he was a sophomore and I was a junior.
