The Roadrunners began their fall camp today by moving into their home for the next two weeks, the University Oaks Apartments on campus. While moving in the players also had their photos taken and did individual video spots. They also took time to speak with the media gathering. Here is just a few of the highlights of the day.

Frank Wilson:
- Can't wait for first practice. As a staff we're like it's Christmas. We got up early this morning and had some script reviews. Coaches are in their meeting rooms preparing for their individual groups.
- Feels different having one year of coaching under belt. Likes that this is a team that understands the expectation. You go over that expectation every year because every year you have new players.
- Last year learned that head coaching position is one that requires you to stay even keel, to be a consummate professional under duress and that when things don't go our way to find a way and stay on course.
- There is no greater pressure than the pressure we put on ourselves. Our expectation is higher as a staff, as individual players, as a support system. We expect to be better than we were a year ago. It starts at home first. On the outside I'm not sure what those expectations are but from within we're going to put it upon ourselves.
- We improved in every area of strength and conditioning over the summer. We're bigger, stronger and faster than we've ever been. We're more explosive from a short area quickness to a long area standpoint. It's been our most successful strength and conditioning season that we've had thus far.
- Camp is about coming together as a team. When we come to camp we come together and become a team. We purposefully construct their day where its filled with team oriented stuff.
- All the guys who sat out the spring with injuries will be back practicing tomorrow. We lost a couple of guys for the spring because of injuries but it made us better for the fall.
- Expecting intensity and attention to detail in first practice tomorrow.
- Expects Dalton to be that leader that we need him to be. To recognize game situation, to manage it, oversee it and play within himself. He doesn't need to be a superstar and throw for 500 yards a game.
- On rumors: Generally the rule of thumb is the job that everybody talks about is usually the job that never comes to fruition. For me I have my undivided attention to this program and this football team. That's what I'm focused on, what our staff is focused on and we'll remain that way. We'll look forward to this season, look forward to this camp and better ourselves. The rumor mill will be what it is but that's not something we can control nor do we have a desire to entertain right now. What's more important is this football program.
- Flattered with the talk. It's gratifying in a sense but I'm even more flattered to have the opportunity to represent this university. That is truly the most humbling thing that has happened to me professionally. I'm honored to be the head coach here at UTSA.
