I thought we could use a new thread to discuss random new reported offers as they are announced/claimed on Twitter and such. For a complete list of UTSA's offers as reported by Rivals, you can always go here.
The more notable offers, especially for local guys, I think will deserve their own threads, but for here we can have an ongoing discussion about and share Hudl highlights of other guys who haven't been talked about much, mainly those perhaps just coming on to the radar or who have just recently claimed to have a UTSA offer.
I'll start this off by asking, what do we think of WR Brayden Klusak? The McAlester, Oklahoma senior tweeted two and a half weeks ago that he'd been offered by the Roadrunners.
He checks in at 6'2" 195 and earlier this spring posted one of the highest Nike Football Ratings (aka SPARQ score) of any participant at this year's The Opening events, with a score of 122.52. He did this by clocking a 4.42 forty (some sources say it was a 4.51), a 4.27 shuttle, a 40-inch vertical, and a 40-foot kneeling powerball throw.
As a junior he caught 35 passes for 831 yards (23.7 yards/catch) and 9 TDs, and also scored two kick return TDs. He also has offers from Washington State, Wyoming, Missouri State, Northern Colorado, and SFA. He's got great size and is an athletic specimen. I don't know if his lack of major offers is due to geography (McAlister is a pretty big town and less than two hours from Tulsa), a lack of polish as a receiver, the possibility that he is already close to reaching his ceiling, or the fact that his skin tone is more Aron Taylor than JaBryce Taylor, or some combination of the above. Whatever the case, he's already got the size and speed of Jesse Ebozue (without the elite shuttle quickness) with much more high school production to his name, and he might be a good get if he improves in a few areas in his senior year, but not so much that OU or OSU comes calling.
