I had some time to chat with the Round Rock TE, Garrett Miller about his recruitment. He told me that his recruitment has been going well thus far and that he’s currently hearing from Missouri, Baylor, UTSA, UTEP, Texas State, Tulane, UT and La Tech. He also said, “My biggest one’s that I want are Missouri and UT!” I asked him about UTSA and which coaches he hears from the most, and he told me, “I got offered by UTSA this weekend and I’ve been hearing from Coach Vizza the TE coach. I think he’s a great coach and really cares about his players and that’s a team I would love to play for!”

We know how Garrett feels about Coach Vizza, now how does he feel about Coach Frank Wilson? “I think Coach Wilson is a great coach and has the potential to make his football team the best team in their conference!” He descried his overall feelings about UTSA by saying, “UTSA is a great school. It’s very nice and I think their program is great for players who want to go to the league.” UTSA being able to put players into the NFL, especially the first round hopeful, Marcus Davenport, has really opened the eyes of many recruits.

Miller told me that what sets him apart from others at his position is, “My attitude and size. My attitude is to work hard in the weight room for me to be one of the strongest guys on the field, and I have this mindset that I want to put every person on that team in the dirt!” When asked about what he looks for in a school, Garrett told me, “I want a coach that shows that he cares about me because that is who I would want to play for! And I also want a coach that cares about me and not just winning!” He tells me that UT and Missouri are in his top 3, but he does not currently know the last school in his top 3.
