RECRUITING Some unsigned seniors I like

It's been some months since the last time I shared lesser-known recruits on the board, and there's been essentially a whole new staff put in place since then and a number of de-commits. Barely a month remains until the second National Signing Day and there remain spots in the 2020 class that need to be filled. Judging by some of the newer offers Coach Traylor has some names in mind for those spots, some of whom he has established relationships with from when he was on staff at Arkansas.

I won't presume to say any of the prospects I'll name here are better than those the new staff is pursuing, but I thought I'd throw them out as a "just in case nobody has seen their senior film" memo. As always, I'd welcome any comments or evaluations others have of these guys.

RB Tyvon Hardrick (Victoria West)
With Brenden Brady and Sincere McCormick returning next year, and with Jaylon Lott already signed, another RB isn't a huge need in this class. But if they wanted to add another, Hardrick would be a good option to pursue at worst as a PWO. He rushed for nearly 4,800 yards and 54 TDs over his three varsity seasons. I'd probably put his ceiling somewhere between that of former Tarleton State star Xavier Turner and ex-Nebraska RB Devine Ozigbo, who were of similar body types.

LB Goodness Nwawuihe (North Garland)
Listed at 6' 210 on his Hudl profile. A first team all-district outside LB in both his junior and senior years, and as a senior he also made 2nd team all-district at RB. He plays fast on both sides of the ball, which makes it odd that his track times aren't that impressive. He reminds me a bit of 2017 LB recruit Brent Ugo of Richmond George Ranch, who @cokermania was a fan of. According to his senior Hudl highlights he finished the 2019 season with 90 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. He has reported some lower division offers, with the best being Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, and Northern Arizona.

ATH Jack Raybourn (DasCHE Spartans)
He's a good athlete who's difficult to evaluate with respect to whether or not he belongs at the D1 level, mainly due to the fact that he played for a team made up of home-schooled kids and thus didn't face strong competition at all. (The DasCHE in his team stands for Dallas Christian Home Educators). Raybourn measured 6'5" 202 in the spring of 2019 at the Dallas Rivals Combine. He ran a 4.864 forty and recorded a 30.4" vertical and 9'5" broad jump (he claims to have run a 4.59 forty at a camp last summer). So he's got plenty of baseline athleticism. Not hard to imagine him being 230-240 pounds after a couple of years in a college S&C program, and he's most likely a TE or DE at the next level. D2 program East Central is the only offer he has reported, and he's had interest from Baylor and was a guest at one of their games last fall. I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to get him into their class as a PWO.

ATH Jaxon Fietsam (Schulenburg)
He's a big athlete who plays at the 3A Division II level. Listed at 6'4" 280 on his MaxPreps profile, he's a four-year varsity player in football and was on the varsity basketball team at least through his sophomore year. He's essentially an extra blocker with hands, and he's twice been a first team all-district tight end, while on defense he was a second team defensive end as a junior and second team defensive tackle as a senior. I always love a guy with lineman size who has the hands and foot speed to play a skill position, even as low as the 3A level. It's easy to watch his film and wonder how he might look at offensive tackle. He reported receiving his first offer a few weeks ago from D3 program Southwestern, and he has not tweeted any others since. PWO candidate, IMO.

WR Ty Moore (Lorena)
6'1" 185 and a multi-talented athlete. Playmaking receiver who also plays varsity basketball and is a track stud, with personal bests of 6'4" in the high jump, 22'4.25" in the long jump, and 44'1" in triple jump. He caught 55 passes for 1,283 yards and 15 TDs as a senior while playing in one of the deepest districts at the 4A Division II level. Watch his highlights and it's easy to imagine him having a dozen offers if his last name were Shipley. That there's next-to-no info online about his recruitment is a bit baffling, and I wonder if it's not intentional. His dad is Baylor's longtime softball coach, and I wonder if he has offers he hasn't reported or if he plans on attending Baylor regardless of whether he gets offers or not. In any case, his film is fun to watch.

I'll have more later but I'm limited to five videos that can be embedded in any one post.
