Just finished watching the first 30 minutes of UTSA's first spring practice. There is really nothing to break down. The players in shorts and t-shirts. Pads won't come on until practice #3. What I was looking for is who was in the first string offense. The offensive line breaks down like this:

LT: Reed Darragh

LG: Kyle McKinney

C: Juan Perez

RG: William Cavanaugh

RT: Cody Cole

Projected starter Jordan Gray was not practicing today. Blake Bogenschutz was your starting QB, with Austin Robinson backing him up. No surprise there.

I could tell right away coach Tony Jeffery brings new energy to the wide receiver position. I did not get a chance to see offensive line coach Mike Markuson up close, but he seems like a very hands on type of coach. Two positions that struggled last year have a new voices guiding them.

Dannon Cavil also did not practice. He did not seem injured.

Lastly, it was odd not seeing the same faces we have all seen for the last 4 years. Truly a new era for UTSA football.
