It was a light day media wise at UTSA today. The players scheduled to be interviewed today had to cancel because of exams. There was a good session with Frank Wilson.

- The team looked better today. Defense are doing the things we are asking of them. They had plus five in creating turnovers today. They put in a fanatical effort to force the ball loose.
- We're flashing offensively but not at the consistency we need, which is not uncommon for spring football. As we continue to do our installations and add to our offense it's a building block. I like our development.
- Today was one of our better days from a special teams standpoint. (Special Teams) were not very good on Saturday in our scrimmage so there was a huge emphasis on it today.
- The increase in forced turnovers comes from persistence. The thing for us from a defensive standpoint is we had double digit dropped interceptions a year ago. If we're true about what we say that this program is all about the ball and how important it is then from a defensive standpoint we have to put our guys in position where they are trained to catch balls.
- I want to see guys continuing to step forward and do the things we ask of them (in next 10 days before spring game). Every day you're either getting better or you're getting worse. I think we have to continue to get better up front. We may not have the quantity of linemen that we want but you have to push forward. As our offensive line gets better we will continue to improve offensively. In the spring game I want to see the defense create as many turnovers as they can.
- There's not really an individual position battle so much as seeing improvement and guys that are growing. Peyton Hall is starting to do some really good things for us. We have a couple of redshirt freshmen that may not necessarily right now be competing for a starting job but competing for playing time and they're doing a lot of good things, especially from where they were a year ago and where we need them to be to establish the quality depth that we need. I think that's where we're growing the most. They're challenging themselves.
