Apologies for the lateness of this posting. Yesterday at spring practice the media got to speak with Frank Wilson and Kerry Thomas Jr. Here are the highlights of those.

- These practices are so precious because you only get 15 of them. You try to take advantage of each and every one of them. We urge our guys to embrace it and make the day count. Don't have a countdown and dread it, embrace it, go get it, go capture it and make it count.
- This was by far the best practice for the offensive side of the ball. We competed on both sides but they were the dominate side of the ball today.
- We ran the ball extremely well today. Tyrell Clay has constantly improved and done some good things. Our offensive line blocked extremely well. Josh Stewart had a magnificent day today. Dalton Sturm and he hooked up throughout the duration. Big play after big play.
- We tell the team that the most physical team is going to win. Even when we're throwing the ball and you have a 6'4" or 6'5" body bodying up the cornerback and having strong hands to bring it down, thats a physical play. I thought we exemplified that from an offensive standpoint today.
- We did not do the things that we are capable of or have done on the defensive side of the ball, we were truly offensive, we attacked them from the offensive side.
- Our motto is be the hammer not the nail. Hit or be hit. We want to continue to establish that mentality. It was good to see our offense do that.
- We are banged up in some areas but like we tell the guys there is a difference between being hurt and being injured. when your hurt it's sincere. You have a deep thigh bruise or you have a sprain, I get it we have to have a threshold of pain tolerance. You have to play through the things that are hurt. When you're injured, you have a tear, something that's broken, that requires surgery, things that go beyond just being tough, things that require medical attention, when you're injured we'll get your body back and do the things necessary to get you healthy but when you're hurt you got to be able to play hurt sometimes in this sport.
- Brett Winnegan has done extremely well. He hasn't done anything live because his injury prevented it but he's been at every practice and done the things we ask of him.
- Likes the duality of Robert Ursua to be able to block next to an offensive tackle or be in a detached formation and run a route or block out in the field.
- Bryce Rivers has done some good things this camp. He's flashed at times and he's the guy we thought he could be. He's got a strong arm and a really good study habit. He's put on 15 or 16 pounds. At times he's still youthful but it's priceless to have a guy that comes in January and gets eight or nine months of prep time before going into his freshmen season. He's positioning himself to be a guy that may contribute for us this year.
