When Signing Day comes around schools will list their new signees, and some will make mention of incoming transfers or preferred walk-ons. With Jucos, they'll often make mention of outgoing players who've signed with four-year programs and guys who've transferred in from four-year programs.

Buried at the bottom of Navarro College's Signing Day list is a group of five incoming mid-year transfers, including two coming from UTSA. Walk-on defensive end Coleman Dennis is one, and DE T.J. King (who will be a redshirt sophomore next season) is the other. Dennis was a walk-on anyway and is no longer listed on UTSA's roster, so his departure isn't that surprising, but King still is on the roster as of now, and I remember him being one of the more high profile signees in the 2015 recruiting class. He redshirted his first season, then appeared in 11 games in 2016, making 3 tackles.

If he is really gone there will still be some depth at DE returning with Eric Banks, Solomon Wise and Jarrod McLin all having three years of eligibility left, plus new signees Morris Joseph and Robert Fuentes. But it would stink to lose someone who actually saw the field last year and could have been in line for more PT over the next three years. He's probably hoping to be a starter for Navarro this fall and impress enough to catch on with another four-year school for his last two seasons of eligibility (2018-19).
