I had the chance to chat it up with Jared Wiley, the 6’6” 220 pound TE out of Temple. I started off by asking Wiley about how his recruitment has been so far and he said, “So far it’s been great, I’m getting a lot of good looks.” Jared told me that the main school that stays in touch with him is Texas. Jared also told me that the main coach he hears from at UTSA is Coach Vizza.
I asked Jared how his relationship with Coach Vizza is and how often they talk, and he said, “Every once in a while, not very often though.” It seemed as if Jared was wanting to hear from Coach Vizza a little more than he currently does. Jared was able to make it out to UTSA’s spring game, and he commented on it, saying, “The spring game was a lot of fun. I brought some teammates and they enjoyed it a lot.” He also told me that he “liked how much they used the tight ends. Really got them involved.”
We continued by talking about what Jared thinks of UTSA as a whole, and he told me, “UTSA looks like a great all around school. They are definitely a top school choice of mine.” This is great news for UTSA, especially since they are still a top school among the many good offers Wiley has. Jared currently does not have a top list of schools that he could share.
