After almost a year of gnashing our teeth on the slow progress of the '16 class, I think it's becoming a bit clearer on the reason we've been so slow to action this class. Staff has obviously targeted this class to be JUCO heavy from the start. They saw what we saw, and knew they would have to get some instant contributors on board that could be on campus in January.

We are sitting at 9 commits right now. 4 JUCO, 4 HS, and 1 Prep School. After today we can conceivably be at 6 to 7 JUCO commits/signees. With a class projected to finish at about 16 or 17 that will leave us with around 6 more HS scholarship players to go after. With the pending hire of our OC/QB coach and a new Safeties coach we could see a little more excitement from HS kids down the stretch (obviously we have to make the right hires). With the staffs history of going out and finding solid players late in the cycle I think we are probably sitting in a pretty decent spot.
