I was able to talk with Oscar Cardenas, the 6’4” 230 pound TE out of Brandeis High School. We started off by talking about how his recruitment has been, and Oscar told me, “It’s been fun and exciting. This recruiting process is pretty much getting me better to go to the next level. The main schools that Cardenas has been hearing from are UTSA and Minnesota. Oscar also told me that the coaches from UTSA that he hears from the most are Coach Vizza, Wilson and Borges.
We went on to talk about his thoughts on UTSA’s spring game, and he talked about how it was a lot of fun and it went very well for him. He talked about how he really enjoyed everything that he took in during the game. When asked about what he thinks of UTSA as a whole, he spoke highly of UTSA saying, “It’s a great campus and a great football program!” So where do the Roadrunners stand in Oscar’s recruitment? “#1 right now!!” His top list of schools is UTSA, Minnesota and SMU.
