I had the opportunity to catch up with Rashad Wisdom, the talented athlete out of Judson. I started off by asking if he’s been hearing from any new schools since we last spoke, and he told me that he had just been offered by Boston College on that day we spoke, and that he’s been hearing from UPenn, Kansas, UMass, Iowa State, Rice and Arizona. He continued by saying, “But the school I’ve been hearing from the most is probably Tulane. He said that the schools that have really stood out to him include Tulane, Virginia, Kansas and Rice, and that’s due to how hard they’re recruiting him. I asked him about some of the camps he’s attended so far and he told me, “The camps have been very fun and competitive. I’ve only been to 2, the Nike Regional camp and the Rivals Houston camp, where I did very good in both and earned the DB MVP at the Rivals camp.” He’s also hoping that he’ll be invited out to the Opening Finals and the Rivals 5-Star Challenge.

He told me that the UTSA coach he hears from the most is Coach Rollins every now and then. I asked him if he’ll be attending UTSA’s spring game and he said, “I won’t be at the spring game, but I will be out there for a practice in the near future.” Getting him out to one of their practices could be huge for the Roadrunners. When asked about where UTSA stands in his recruitment, he said, “UTSA is definitely up there for me, I don’t have a top school or schools as of right now, but they are up there.” It seems as if Rashad were to hear more from the staff, that UTSA could really set themselves up in a good position to land him.

Wisdom continued on by saying, “I would like to commit on my birthday, June 6th, but it will definitely be some time in the summer so I can focus on school and my last season. When asked about the greatest thing that factors into where he’ll be committing to, Rashad told me, “The greatest factor is somewhere that feels like home, where I’ll be able to feel comfortable living for the next couple of years.” He told me that he doesn’t have a top schools list and is evaluating all of his choices and waiting on any other offers that may still come in. Don’t be surprised to see Rashad’s recruitment take off, even more than it already has, in the near future.
