I had the chance to do a little update with Sincere McCormick, the running back out of Judson. Since we last spoke, Sincere’s recruitment has been “going crazy” and he’s earned three new offers from Memphis, Southern Mississippi and UTEP. He hasn’t had much contact with UTSA, saying, “It’s been one heck of a roller coaster, haven’t really had time to speak with them very much.” The main school that he’s been hearing from is Memphis, and he’s recently been in contact with Nebraska and Michigan. The last time he heard from UTSA was during UTSA’s spring game and it was Coach Sands that he spoke with.
Sincere told me that he currently does not have any visits set up, and he also said, “UTSA is still up there with one of my top picks.” It’s good to hear that even though UTSA hasn’t had much contact with McCormick, they’re still a major player in his recruitment. If UTSA was to really step it up in this recruitment, it seems as if they could have a real shot at landing this talented running back.
When asked about what really sets him apart from other running backs, Sincere told me, “My mindset and attitude when I’m out there on the field. When the ball is snapped, I’m playing like my hair is on fire.” He also talked about he’s a real team player and how he is always the one motivating his teammates and keeping their spirits high. Sincere spoke about what he looks for in a school to commit to by saying, “The thing that I’m mostly looking into when it comes to colleges is a guaranteed future for myself after football, because the pathway to the pros isn’t always guaranteed. Also, I want to be surrounded by a great environment.” Let’s hope that he can find all of these things at UTSA. He’s currently keeping his top schools on the down low.
