The Roadrunners lost 30-23 and now sit at 1-7 on the season. The offense put up decent numbers, but it was too reliant on Dalton Sturm. He had 47 passing attempts and over 20 rushing attempts. UTSA ran an impressive 90+ plays and nearly 2/3 were in Sturm's hands. Jarveon Williams getting banged up and getting only six carries changed the game. Jalen Rhodes did well early, but that fumble was huge.

I'm not sure what there is to say about this team. It is what it is at this point. A combination of attrition, injuries, some misses in recruiting and inexperience have combined to decimate this program over the past two years and it culminated in a loss to a North Texas team that fired its coach this month and lost in historic fashion to Portland State.
