I was able to catch up with the safety out of College Station, Brandon Joseph. Brandon was on campus for UTSA’s junior day, and he said it was a great experience for him and that he “loved the campus and all the facilities.” Joseph went on to talk about how Coach Rollins was with him on campus for most of the time, and that he “loves what he (Coach Rollins) does with the defense and the safeties.” Brandon was able to speak with Coach Wilson while he was on campus, and he said that all of the current players “really love having him as a head coach.”

When asked about his opinion of UTSA after junior day, Brandon said, “I loved everything about UTSA, they are definitely towards the top of my list in schools right now.” The schools that have been in contact with Brandon include “a few ivy league schools and other schools in Texas.” Brandon was also able to tell me that if he decided to commit to UTSA, he would end up playing free safety for the Road Runners.

When it comes to what Brandon looks for in a school to commit to, he told me, “I’m looking for a school that has good academic programs, and a good brotherhood throughout the team.” Brandon talked about what sets him apart from other players at his position by saying, “I think that I’m a god coverage free safety that can also come downhill and make a tackle in the box.” With Brandon being 6’ 1” and 185 pounds, he is perfectly build to have the length to be good in coverage, while also being big enough, with room to grow, to come down and make some big hits at the line.
