Joey Bosa, Emmanuel Ogbah and Jason Neill. One of these is not like the other.
The latter, Neill, does have something in common with the No. 3 overall pick, Bosa (San Diego Chargers) and the 32nd overall pick, Ogbah (Cleveland Browns). According to Pro Football Focus, Neill ranked between the two as one of the top fourth-quarter pass rushers at the FBS level.
Neill is in good company for sure, and the Dallas Cowboys saw his potential to help their lackluster pass rush, officially signing him as an undrafted free agent Wednesday.
During the defensive stalwart's senior season at UTSA, Neill racked up 56 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. The 6-foot-2, 266-pounder ran no lower than a 4.8 40-yard dash, therefore giving Dallas a little bit of speed on the outside -- especially with Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence not on the field for at least the first few games.
Neill reported to Dallas' rookie minicamp Thursday, where he and the multitude of rookies vie for a spot on their competitive roster.
If Neill gets an opportunity to dress on Sundays, he'll likely join former teammate and tight end David Morgan -- a sixth-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings -- making history as the first two Roadrunners to play in the NFL.
