and they blew a 20-8 halftime lead to Hallettsville.
1. Hallettsville is a scrappy, disciplined, well coached team. Yoakum has more size and more athletes but the Brahmas wore them down in the 2nd half.
2. Yoakum struggled to get the ball to their playmakers. Jordan and Josh Moore weren't able to get things going offensively.
3. Hallettsville did not struggle to get the ball into the hands of their playmakers.
4. Former Sinton RB/LB Ethan Owens is now at Yoakum after his dad took a position on the Bulldogs staff. Ethan was the best player on the Yoakum side on Friday. I think he may be the best player on the team. He's the type of South Texas kid that UTSA has overlooked in the past.
5. Hallettsville's Scooter Adams was the best player on the field. That kid can flat out play but unfortunately he's only about 5'8.
