SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head men’s basketball coach Steve Henson on Friday announced that the program has signed Josh Farmer, a 6-8 forward from Houston Sharpstown High School, to a National Letter of Intent. The 3-star prospect will join the Roadrunners beginning with the 2021-22 season.

"We are very excited to have Josh join our UTSA family,” Henson said. “Josh brings a unique skillset to our program because of his size, length, and athletic ability. His hard work and determination will be a great asset to our program. We look forward to getting Josh on campus and getting to work right away."

Farmer is the fifth member of the Roadrunners’ 2021 signing class, joining fall signees Aleu Aleu (Austin, Texas/Temple JC), Dhieu Deing (High Point, N.C./Dodge City [Kan.] CC), Azavier Johnson (Las Vegas, Nev./Faith Lutheran HS) and Lamin Sabally (Berlin, Germany/Bella Vista [Ariz.] Prep). That group will head to a UTSA program that ended the 2020-21 season by winning 10 out of the last 13 games and earning a No. 4 seed for the Conference USA Championship.
